The Rebecca Ora Award is granted annually to one Masters of Fine Arts graduate of California College of the Arts who exhibits creative acumen coupled with daring and a willingness to ask questions, create discomfort, or foment social discord.
There is a $100 grant associated with the award, made possible through the generous support of the Toby Devan Lewis Fellowship (2010). Preference may be shown to artists working in time-based media.
Each year, the award is judged at the CCA Thesis Exhibition by Ms. Ora and an advisory committee.
This award is given in loving memory of Beatrice Levavi, who inspired others to strive toward personal expression and integrity at all costs.
